For a little break from Bangkok we drove to Ayutthaya for a couple of nights. We stayed at the city's newest hotel, The Kantara Hotel Ayutthaya. In order to stretch this blog a bit I'm going to dwell on the lobby today. Tomorrow we'll have lunch. Thursday we'll check out the suite.
The restaurant in Ayutthaya's Kantara Hotel is named TAPESTRY. We ordered off the menu as the buffet was not in operation. We all agreed that the fish dish was the highlight of the meal.
Our suite at Ayutthaya's Kantara hotel, though not as sweet as the John Le Carré suite at The Mandarin Oriental, meets all of our needs and more-so. That's right, we didn't need the clothes washer.
PS: I just can't get enough of that fish. And, it is not sweet.

Located on the ground floor of our neighbor, the Athenee Office Tower, is the newly opened Le Beaulieu restaurant. The newest addition to this place is its outdoor section which operates mainly as a bar.
