Yesterday's location was "Garage", a restaurant in the All Seasons building here in Bangkok. It is a 'garage' themed burger restaurant with 100% emphasis on US garages and things found in or near garages. The burgers are super; I'll show you the guts of one later.

In less than 24 hours we'll probably know who will be Thailand's new PM. Today is the last day of campaigning.

Thai elections are so much more fun than American elections. In the US we usually have to choose between bores and idiots. Here we have real characters. For example what is there not to love about Chuvit ... the man made his fortune operating "love hotels".

Thailand is about to have its first female Prime Minister. Yingluck Shinawatra (the younger sister of Thaksin Shinawatra) leads the party that won a majority of seats in yesterday's national election. Both the press and the tube gushed the results

We have Norwegian guests! Actually the only one who speaks Norwegian is the daughter, Isabelle. Her mother is Thai and her father is Norwegian. The family lives in Norway and their common tongue is English. The Mom speaks no Norwegian and the Dad speaks no Thai. The Kid speaks Thai, Norwegian and English. This is a great advantage for the Kid as she can understand everything her parents say AND she can speak secretly to either parent without the other parent knowing what she says.

PS: Don Bull has further evidence that wine (Bubbly?) and balloons have a close fit.
